Leonela Berna Waltrick is Brazilian and was born in southern Brazil in the beautiful state of Santa Catarina on February 16, 1984. Since a very young age, she had a passion for modeling and for sports. While modeling in Brazil, her mother encouraged her to participate in local and national beauty pageants. She moved to the United States in 2003 and began to get involved in sports and fitness activities and became very involved in weight training, nutrition and health. She had personal knowledge and experience about the negative impact of starvation as a model in Brazil so she was very aware of her overall health. She overcame the challenges and obstacles of being in a new country, with a culture so different than hers and a land so far from her beloved family. Leonela plans to become a very successful personal trainer and fitness model so that way she can relate her love for sports and modeling.
