Say the name Tila Tequila and you’ll get a myriad of reactions: “Queen of the internet”, “MTV Reality Star”, “Controversial and crazy”…yeah, crazy like a fox!! Tila Nguyen was born in Singapore to Vietnamese parents and a year later emigrated to the United States eventually settling in Houston, TX. Not long after graduating from high school, a Playboy scout discovered Tila in a mall. After that chance meeting, she packed up and moved to West Hollywood, CA and soon there after became Playboy’s first Asian to win the Cyber Girl of the Month title. Seeing value in the internet she quickly parlayed her new found cyber status into a record breaking 3.8 million friends on Myspace, earning her the title of “Queen”. Knowing a good thing when they see it, MTV came calling and offered her “A SHOT AT LOVE”, which gave MTV it’s highest rating since the premiere episode of the “Osbournes”. Tila has been featured on magazines around the world and is currently working on a TV production deal for 2010. She will also be releasing an EP on May 4, 2010 and plans to do a worldwide tour. She always knew she was something special and when Hollywood came calling she answered and the rest is To Be Continued…

1. What’s your Ethnicity?
Mainly Vietnamese. Both my parents are Vietnamese, however I have some French down the line. My grandfather is French. But I mostly consider myself Vietnamese, since I do speak my language very fluently.

I’m a Scorpio!!!
3. Where are you from originally?
I grew up in the Southside of Houston, Texas.
4. What did you like most about growing up in Houston, TX?
Well it’s nothing like Hollywood I must say! It’s more like “HOOD” but not Hollywood!
5. What kind of mischief did you get into while growing up?
So many you won’t have enough pages in this magazine to cover all the mischief I got into while growing up!
6. What’s the craziest thing you’ve ever done?
When I was 13 years old, I used to kick it with my sister and all her friends. I thought I was soooo coool since my sister and her friends were all in highschool and I was only in middle school. One day we all skipped school, stole a car, drove it to the beach, had a little beach party, and then we drove the car into the ocean and all hopped out before the car sank into the ocean. It was funny back then, but I look back and feel really bad. I was only 13 years old. I didn’t know any better. However if I knew who that person was today, I would totally buy them a new car!
7. What brought you to CA?
I always knew I was going to be something special. I didn’t call upon Hollywood, Hollywood called upon me.
8. What’s your favorite hobby and why?
I love to sing! A lot of people don’t realize that I am actually a really good singer! That’s why I have my new EP coming out “Welcome to the Darkside” that showcases more of my vocal abilities. The EP is releasing May 4, 2010 on iTunes. I also love to play the piano. It’s really soothing and I don’t think about anything else while I play the piano. It just takes me to a whole other world that I can get away from when I am stressed. I also write songs for other people. I love writing and I am very good at it. That’s another thing that a lot of people don’t know about me is that I write songs for other people as well. So I guess you can say I’m a pretty talented chick! (laughs)
9. What’s your guilty pleasure?
I love to eat junk food right before bedtime! I work on my laptop while I’m in bed, and then gorge down a HUUUUUGE chunk of pizza, cheesburger, etc, you name it, I eat it, right before I go to sleep and my throat doctors get mad at me for doing that because that gives you acid reflux and it messes up your vocal chords for singing! But I guess you gotta make sacrifices and ask yourself what’s more important to you, pizza hunger at night before bed, or having a beautiful singing voice for my music career??? Hmmm…
10. Who do you admire?
I admire strong, independent people, such as myself. I admire someone who has built their empire from scratch. I admire my great friend and mentor Russell Simmons. He has been there for me through thick and thin and has taught me a lot about becoming a mogul.
11. What’s one of your personal goals?
Honestly, I just want to have my empire (that I have currently built) to blow up so that I can truly be the very first female mogul that is young, sexy, yet can still prove to people that just because you are a young, and sexy female does not mean you are not intelligent! I also would like to adopt at least 3 children in the future and in 3 years I will become the ambassador for Vietnam. The world will be shocked to see the hard work, and transition that I have made for myself, on my own, once again. I hope to inspire people through my story.
12. What do guys compliment you on the most?
Guys? OMG… Guys are so easy. They just love everything about me. They don’t even have to get to know me first and they are always trying to holla at me, but the dangerous thing is that once I do let a guy into my world, even just a friend, once they actually do get to know me, they always end up falling in love because I am truly wifey material. I am pretty much every guys and girls dreamgirl. I run my own empire, I’m young, I’m independent, and when you’re this busy people tend to get drawn to you because they want to spend more time with you, but they know that they are not my #1 priority, my work is.
13. What’s your favorite body part on yourself?
Hmm… I would have to say my button nose and my lips. With just one kiss from my lips, I will have you fall in love with me. (laughs)
14. What’s your least favorite body part on yourself?
I hate my feet! Although they are small and cute (I wear a size 5 ½) I just have this weird thing about my feet! I don’t know why but I just hate my feet. I’m always making sure my toes don’t go over my shoes and clench onto them like I have seen other girls when they wear those stripper shoes! (laughs)
15. What do you look for in a guy?
Due to the fact that in my real life, I am such a Boss Biatch, a mogul, the president of many corporations, I would like a man who can make me feel like a woman. I need that balance. At work, it’s like I am doing a man’s job. So when I come home to a man, I would like him to be man enough to make me feel like a special little princess that I am. I don’t like to take my work home with me. So yes, a man who makes me feel like a woman, who is also romantic, and not afraid to tell me he loves me or misses me. I love that!
16. What’s the first thing you notice about a guy?
I always notice the hot guy that is sitting alone by himself at the back of the bar. I love mysterious men. I am very drawn to them.
17. What turns you on?
I love music! Everything I do, music is involved! Such as when I am making love, I always have a play list on of my favorite songs. I have this song called “Mary Jane” that I wrote for love making. It’s very sexy! As a matter of fact I have a huge catalog of Tila Tequila music of about 200 songs or more that nobody has ever heard yet, but now that I have my own record label “Tila Tequila Records” I just might go ahead and release all of these songs for my fans. They have been waiting for new Tila music for over 3 years now!!! But wait no longer because starting this spring, you will see more of me everywhere so get ready!!!
18. What turns you off?
I hate guys who have ugly shoes! A guy can be totally hot, and have the perfect personality, but when I look down at his shoes and he has some old, brown, stupid looking shoes, OMG, it’s a wrap! It’s Over! Get out of my house! I get so turned off by a guy who has ugly shoes! I don’t know why! (laughs)
19. What’s your biggest pet peeve?
My biggest pet peeve is when people talk over me while I am talking. I give everyone enough respect to let them speak first and when they are finished, then I speak. However I find it rude when people keep speaking over you or interrupt you in the middle of your sentences! Oh and also Shitty Drivers! Get off the damn road if you can’t drive!
